V času, ko se lastnemu telesu upiramo in mu ne dovolimo staranja ali bolezni, v zahodni kulturi zlahka vrednotimo sebe skozi samopredstavljanje, medtem ko odgovornost za mentalno stanje vse bolj pogojujemo z individualnimi izbirami in načinom življenja.
Razstava Upor telesa, ki sega v dve razstavišči – v Likovni salon in galerijo Račka – izhaja iz njenega razumevanja odziva telesa na različne negativne dražljaje ter izpostavlja, da se telo nenehno odziva na okolje in je temeljni vir informacij ter dragocena vednost. Izpostavlja moč telesa, da se upre v trenutku, ko um tega ni zmožen.

Film Dekleta ne jočejo govori o hrepenenju šestih deklet po svobodnem življenju, ki bi si ga določale same, o želji po ljubezni brez paternalizma, tujega nadzora nad lastnimi telesi, z enakimi pravicami.
Doživimo, kako se dekleta soočajo s krizami pubertete, kako v težkih situacijah samozavestno sprejemajo odločitve, njihov pogumen boj proti brutalnim tradicijam, kot je obrezovanje, proti družbenim omejtivam in pritisku, proti obsedenosti z lepoto in predsodkom – tudi ob soočanjih s travmo in izgubo.

At a time when we resist our bodies—denying them the right to age or fall ill—Western culture easily measures self-worth through self-presentation, while increasingly framing mental health as the result of individual choices and lifestyles.
The exhibition The Body Resists, which spans two venues—the Likovni Salon and Račka Gallery—draws on Miller’s understanding of the body’s response to various negative stimuli. It highlights the fact that the body continuously reacts to its environment, serving as a fundamental source of information and vital knowledge. The exhibition emphasizes the body’s power to resist—particularly at moments when the mind is no longer capable of doing so.

In Girls Don’t Cry we learn about the longing of 6 girls for a self-determined life in freedom, their desire to fall in love, without paternalism, without foreign power over their own bodies, with equal rights. We experience how they deal with the crisis of puberty, their self-confident decisions in difficult situations, their courageous fight against brutal traditions such as circumcision, against social constraints and pressure, against beauty mania and prejudice, even in the face of trauma and loss.
